Suzie is so excited to announce her next live event - an opportunity open to performers and listeners alike!
If you find yourself in Boston, Massachusetts on October 4, 2026, join her for a performance masterclass! Selected soloists and small ensembles will play live and receive direct feedback from Suzie.
Not a performer? Come along as part of the audience! There are up to 125 spaces available on a first come, first served basis.
Suzie wants to share her expertise, help all participants grow as artists, and bring together a variety of musicians, genres and experience levels.

Things to know:
Form submission deadline for performers is Monday, September 7, 2026.
Audience passes can be purchased up to and including on October 4, but will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Acoustic performances only.
Each performance can be up to 5 minutes in duration.
PERFORMANCE PASS: If applying to perform, your ticket includes entry to the entire day and video footage of your performance and feedback session.
AUDIENCE PASS: If purchasing an audience pass, you'll be a vital ingredient within the feedback sessions, and be able to learn from Suzie's teaching in a live masterclass setting.
If applying as an ensemble (2-6 players), please note only one application is needed, but all names, DOBs and IDs must be included.
If applying to perform, we will notify you of your acceptance status by September 11, 2026.
Timetable of events:
10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Morning performances (including 15 minute break)
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Lunch (all attendees must go off-site)
2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Afternoon performances (including 15 minute break)
Location details will be sent out to all accepted performers and audience members who complete the payment process.
FAQs
Is there an age limit?
Audience passes are open to all ages, however, children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Performance passes are open to anyone aged 18+.
How much does the event cost?
Suzie Explores Performance costs $100 for a solo performance pass, $130 for an ensemble performance pass, $28 for a half day audience pass and $45 for a full day audience pass. Credit cards may charge additional fees for the transaction.
What does my entry ticket include?
A Performance Pass includes a 20 minute performance and feedback session, a video export of your performance/feedback session and entry to the entire day of performances. An Audience Pass includes access to all of the indicated Suzie Explores Performance sessions (half day AM/PM or full day). Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meals.
What is the payment process for the retreat?
If your registration is confirmed, a payment link will be provided.
When will I know if my registration was successful?
We will let you know as soon as we can, but the timeline may vary due to volume of applications. We will aim to notify you by September 11, 2026.
If I perform, can I stay for the rest of the day?
Yes! The Performance Pass includes access to the entire day.
Can I bring a guest?
Each attendee must register individually.
What should I know about performing?
You are most welcome to apply to perform acoustically, as a soloist or in an ensemble of 2-6 players. Each act will be allotted a 20-minute block of time, which will include both the performance (up to 5 minutes) and feedback from Suzie.
Can I record audio or video during the sessions?
You’re welcome to record brief clips of up to 30 seconds to post, share, or keep during the event. However, we kindly ask that no long audio or video recordings of the sessions be made.
Are there any rules I should know about?
All attendees are expected to participate in a way that helps maintain the space, shows courtesy toward fellow attendees, and upholds the overall respectful reputation of Suzie Explores. We ask that all participants remain sober during the sessions.
Should I get travel insurance?
Due to our strict cancellation policy, we strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance. Furthermore, we also strongly suggest that any registrant who plans to bring a musical instrument purchase insurance specific to the coverage of their instrument, both during the event and any travel they may undertake to attend the event.
Can I cancel my registration?
You may cancel within 7 days for a full refund. Please see terms and conditions for the full cancellation policy.

Is there a maximum number of participants?
There is a maximum of 18 acts. If you are not successful in securing a place during this Suzie Explores Performance event, we encourage you to register for one in the future!
